Ah come on mate.You are kidding.

Buckets was having a great game.He hits harder
in defence then anyone in our team.Go watch the
tape from last night again.note how players don't
make metre's in tackles,how hard he hits them and
if he stood back in the line u would have blokes like
mears and fitzy making inaffective tackles ala more
offloads and 2nd phase play.

To be honest i know where your coming from.I wasn't
the biggest o'neill fan either,I looked more at his attacking
game.Say things like "Why is he running sideways?Run it
straight and hard" and when we had an overlap down his
side"Thats it o'neill keep running it,let them get their numbers
back :roll: " or "don't get in the way o'neill(with us in attact).

"We need a 2nd row like penrith".

Now i still beleive that but we can't lose buckets defence.
Yet we need more metre's from the 2nd rowers.I was thinking
buckets at prop but doesn't make enough metre's so now
i'm thinking lock.

Yep I believe we missed his defensive abilities. No doubt that the Tigers need his metal. Anyone who thinks he isn't a valuable player for our team doesn't look hard enough. He mighten be the best back rower going around but he is one of our best. People criticise him but who is going to do a better defensive job than buckets?

I was talking to an injured Tigers player last night.All you Buckets fans will be pleased to know that he told me that he believes that Buckets is good with his hands for a big fella,inspires his team mates around him and overall he is regarded as an important member of the team by his team mates!
This I already knew,but I got the impression and still do that certain Tigers players get frustrated at times when Buckets spends too much time in the backline.crowding backline movements rather than getting in the middle of the field,rolling his sleeves up and running the ball hard to get the defence on the back foot!
When debating the issue this player assured me that no Tigers player ever feels let down by Buckets whatsoever.He also said that John Skandalis and Brett Hodgson are unanimously regarded as the teams two best players and that most team mates feel these two should be playing Origin for the Blues!
