No team lists, then why would anyone buy the magazine.

If you like to keep stats its a hell of a lot easier to do it on paper then it is on a tablet screen.

Looking up the stats on any of the number of live stats websites is even easier again...

What lunatic is still keeping his own stats on the big league in this day and age?

Keeping your own stats is called having fun. Well it was a few years back.

I stopped buying Big League about 5 years ago. Up till then I was keeping my own stats. It was just something I liked doing. I remember when I was a lot younger attending games, watching all three grades and keeping stats for all the games. I would update competition tables, leading try scorers and point scorers after each round had finished.

I suppose its a sign of the times.

Well aren't you just the life of the party!!!........

I couldn't think of anything worse, I like to personally go to a game and enjoy it for what it is, not have my head down in a magazine tallying up info that can be simply gained on the internet now with the click of a button.

Each to their own I guess.

It is not that difficult to keep stats and watch the game at the same time

Plus you cant lookup old publications online as after 1y as news seems to disappear off online sites

Why would anyone pay money for team lists?

Most of their articles are shit and you get better ones for free off here anyway.

So very true.

It's been a slow declining death.

I've been buying it for 25 years so it's an ingrained habit. Ironically, I promised the missus on GF day that 2015 was the last year as she sat there with her mobile phone and blah blah blah.

Team lists haven't represented real run on teams for years. They cut and neutered the kids' section. The state sections all but disappeared, condensed in to a page or so each. And big pics, little copy. Heaps of ads.

It's sad. Life goes on.

These days if I want anything, LU is the place to go really. Now, who do I see about submitting articles here?
