Isaiah Thomas in his new role as Knicks president/GM has pulled off a major trade, bringing Stephon Marbury to New York. I just saw the Suns play in Toronto yesterday, and Marbury didn't look that great. He had an off night shooting. But he is all-star caliber, and should be motivated to play well in his hometown. I think the Knicks got the best of this deal.

How much money are the Knicks spending on players now? Wooh!

The Suns will have a great front court with McDyess and Stoudamire when he gets back. But there's still question marks over McDyess' fitness. He's off contract this year as well...

This is obviously the Knicks' best team and their best shot. It'll be interesting to see if they gell. Good luck to Marbury, he's great and I have him in my fantasy teams, so I want him to succeed.

Now the Knicks have hired Lenny Wilkens as coach. A surprise move as Lenny finished up badly in Toronto last year. Some commentators are saying Isaiah hired him because he can let him go at the end of the season if he wants. Whereas if he hired Mike Fratello, as some expected, he would have had to give him at least another year or 2. Some think Isaiah wants to coach the team himself next year, but that's hard to do when you're the president/GM as well.

The Suns are looking at building the back court around Marion. Carbakapa and Barbosa will be better next year. A few young picks in the draft and the trade could well end up favouring the Suns.

God I hope so. I had such high hopes after last season.

I saw Barbosa play in Toronto just before the trade, and he does have potential. It's true that the Suns could do well in the deal if the draft picks turn out to be good players.

They have just defeated The Lakers and did so without McDyness and Stoudemire. Huge games from Johnson and Voshukl.

4 wins on the trot now.
