did anyone see the Billy Thorpe special on Rage last night i have heard a fair bit of his stuff over the years.......but when you actually see live footage of him and the Aztecs, it makes you realise how good a guitarist and muso Thorpy was and how good a band the Aztecs were
as i said in another post Most People i Know was never one of my favourite songs (dont get me wrong it is a great song), because i like the Bluesier Stuff, but the live version was awesome, it went for about 15 minutes and was an awesome acid blues jam
over the years i have seen a few jams that have turnt to crap because the guitarist and the band lose the groove because they get to a point and dont know where to go from there......not Thorpy and the Aztecs, they did a version of Mamma from the Sunbury set, and again this went for about 25 minutes and was an awesome Jam
when you see Live footage you realise why he was held in such high esteem in the Aussie and American Music scenes
