As exciting as it is to see Austin going so well, he's still got a long way to go with his passing and kicking. He's playing a lot like a better version of Ben hunt at the moment in that his running game is sublime, but when the dummy and go doesn't work - he's often found out
Hodgson takes the pressure off his sub par kicking game. He sometimes takes the wrong option too.
I guess its the old nfl debate. Is he a "system player" who slots well into the raiders because he has a hooker who will do a big chunk of the kicking. I think papalii on his outside helps it means players can't easily come in on him so his running game flourishes. He gets enough ball to papalii though.
I think Stuart is very keen to move papalii to prop but Austin absolutely needs a player like papa on his outside.
Papa looked pretty quick when he scored that try. He had a great game today but Austin was outstanding. My only concern is Austin's lack of passing but he could be setting up his opposition in advance as they have to respect his passing and running game because of his dummy and ability to move off both feet.
I think the leaders in the game need to stop underrating this guy. He plays with a whole lot of real passion...not that bullshit some fans tag Reynolds with having.
The only conclusive info we can surmise from this thread, is that wiityfan knows zero about footy. And thank Theduges he's off the Dragons bandwagon... RIP M. Witt...
I'd say his running game is better then Milfs now. Milf is better with a broken line but against a set defence Austin is miles better, and that's a shit load more valuable.
