Bombing the storm: good attacking decision?

Ok so I read somewhere that Slater looked nervous under the bombs the dogs peppered him with all game, but considering he had a SHOCKER doing plenty of other things he didn't twitch under the high ball for mine so it begs the question:

Why the heck did we keep hoisting the bomb? Obviously with Braith back, and our field position on the 5th being more around the 20-30 rather than within the 20 we were always gonna bomb more but it seemed to me to be wretchedly unsuccessful.....

If you're gonna bomb you should bomb to jumpers like El Masri who you know can leap high and catch high.....

Seems the Bulldogs have lost their razor edge in the short kicking game, with Tricky (the criminal) last season it wasn't uncommon to see us grubber from 20 metres out and with VERY good success, and Sherwin had those nice cross field chips/lobs to El Masri which also worked a treat...

Anyways ultimately I feel the Dogs have WAY more success with the low kicking game than with the damn bombs, at least a grubber doesn't 95% of the time lead to a 20 metre tap for the opposition. I'd like to see the dogs re-institute a heft regime of non-bomb oriented attacking kicks and reap the rewards accordingly.

Am I wrong?......

Possibly just changed things up so to keep the defences guessing, it was getting quite predicatable us grubbing into the ingoal under the post. Now it;s do or die I'm sure you'll see the bulldogs throw everything at the roosters.

I thought it was a good idea - means the roosters can not be too sure about what the dogs will do this week. Giving Shifty a breather (I'm sure many of you saw the Fox stats last night and know what I mean) is good for him and the team.
