Newtown have acquired the services of a Pia player. I am not sure of his full name (Matthew is his first name). He arrived in the country in the past couple of days and comes recommended by Craig Field, his leader at Pia.

Matthieu Sebastian Julia is a former Pia 2nd rower/lock. He originally hails from the city of Perpignan just 10 miles south west of Pia and on the east coast near the France-Spain border. He is Newtown's first ever French player.

He has already built up a rapport with Phillip Leuali, who speaks French from his days with UTC.

Bear in mind I'll be back in Newtown for a visit in not too many months.

The only battle I can recall personally losing recently was getting your "mentor" to see sense and enter the twentieth century (but I haven't admitted defeat on that one - the war is still under way in my opinion).

I am glad to hear you will be back to cause havoc on the faithful at Henson Park.
