Books on Wrestling

Have any of you read any decent books on the industry? I recently ordered 'The Death of WCW' and 'Wrestling's One Ring Circus' from Amazon.com.

The former is a great read, and goes into great detail on the fall of WCW. It's almost painful to read the decline, as there was some absolutely absurd booking there. Where's the idiot I was arguing with a few months ago? I do believe he owes me an apology, as I was 100% right.

The second seems interesting, as he details the steady decline of WWF/WWE programming since the end of the ratings war.

I picked up both of Foleys books, both are great books and give you one mans honest perspectives on both companies.

I wouldn't mind The death of WCW book especially re-caping on how Nitro was.

It's a very good read, although towards the end it gets a little hard to read. So much stupid booking. You'd think they'd learn. The last few Nitros, which I watched back in the day, were horribly confusing.

I enjoyed 'Have a Nice Day', btw.

How much did you fork out for them mate they sound pretty good particularly the One ring circus?

Try reading both of Foley's books "Have a nice day" is brillant. Hogans eats a dick and Chyna's is suprisingly good and if you see a copy it wont be over 5 bucks.

Was a moderately expensive investment. Including postage, the two cost me $58 (being mailed from the US). I've just started on the One Ring Circus, and it's a compelling read. Scott Keith (the author) is pretty damning of the WWE since WCW's collapse.

I recently read "The Stone Cold Truth" and thought it was great. Stevve Austin gives a good insight on what goes on behind the scenes, and how hard it is as a youngster trying to make it in professional sport in general.

Hogan biography is awesome.

Having read the inside view on Hogan (from a thousand perspectives), I've lost a lot of respect for the guy. He was largely responsible for a lot of WCW's problems, and did similar sh*t while in WWE more recently. His ego is dangerous.
