Let the fun begin. Breathing a huge sigh of relief that none of our players are the primary culprit... Darius in pretty big trouble if he has tried to sweep it under the rug, but if he's been forthcoming and honest I don't see too much of a drama. The level of involvement he had will be key here.

Good thing Bennett held onto Kev for the rest of the year... we might need him for a longer stint than anticipated.

Might sound weird but I'm a little bit relieved right now. From the initial rumours going around I thought we might be the main club involved. Or at least have the main culprit as you said perverse.

Obviously so much to still happen before we can speculate on Boyd. Hope it fizzles out/comes to nothing though obviously.

Can I just point out how ridiculous it is that even though these guys could be as guilty as the day is long not only is this girl allowed to remain nameless while these guys are named and shamed but she can conduct a tell-all interview before any formal complaint has been made and no charges have been laid?!

The Princess Boyd thread is about the player on the field, and his relationship with our club. This is a separate, off-topic incident that will get a lot of conversation in all likelihood.

Lol, knew you'd get defensive.

The player threads can be about anything. The point of the thread is to put all the information and news about a player into the one thread so it's easy to go through for people.

HOWEVER, this is pretty big news and I guess deserves it's own thread.

Okay, that wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it was going to be.

...for us and Boyd anyway. Te'o is in deep shit.

I'll be interested to see what happens. We never hesitate sacking players. Boyd shouldn't have kept quiet but I don't think it's a sackable offence either.

It's more a thread about the Te'o assault, and happens to relate to one of our players. The Princess Boyd thread really isn't the place for it, imo.

It's not good how we treat people as guilty before being found innocent (when afterwards its too late to save their image anyway).

Boyd should be fine. I was worried last night but it looks like we shouldn't come out of this looking too badly.

Norman called 000, good on him, and it said 'one of the players immeadiately fled the premises', which has to be Boyd unless there is a fourth they haven't mentioned.

From that article, it sounds like Darius' only crime was wanting to get the hell out of there.

He's going to be even more of a dick to the media after this one :lol:

100% agree. Reminds me of the Matty Johns incident in 2009 with that Kiwi woman. They shouldn't be allowed the right of anonymity if no charges have been laid.

The way I read the report is:

Teo assaulted the girl
Normal called 000
Boyd ran

The only area of concern is when Boyd ran. If it was after the 000 call, he should be all sweet. If he witnessed the assault and then ran, he could be in trouble..... that is assuming charges are laid.

It is going to be about details that will ot be clear early on.

So there has been no formal complaint lodged to the police and this happened over a month ago.

Clearly that isn't acceptable according to the media. I wonder how much $$$ they are paying for the story.

actually heard a few other details though im not sure how accurate they are and im not in a position to comment without a clear source either

none of what ive heard makes it any better or worse for Boyd though (except perhaps with his mrs)
