First off... Freddy's a RL legend... one of the best footballers i have ever seen.

but deadset... i can barely understand what the bloke says when he does his sideline comments for C9.

he sounds like hes burping or something...

Andrew Johns and Brad Fittler on the sideline at the same time is nothing short of painful.

The producers at Channel 9 ought to be shot. Just because they were great players means jacksh*t when it comes commentary.

Fittler is awful.

i dont mind what hes actually saying... after watching the bloke play for all those years i have massive respect for his opinions and i think his opinions would add a lot to the game.

but i dont know if hes got the voice for commentary... maybe its just abit of nerves or maybe he just needs a bit of vocal training...

He is terrible but better than Ikin. Id rather hear Freddie struggle with what he's going to say than Ikin's Broncos and Queensland bias.
Im sure he will get better as the year goes on as he gets more used to speaking on live TV.

He always sounds like he is out of breath. When they used to interview him as a player, I figured he was just puffing cause he had just finished a game. Now I know better.

Annoying at times yes, but a far better speaker

I bet Queenslanders lapped up his "if it's from Queensland it's obviously amazing before we even start" bias he came out with.

At least you could understand WHAT he was saying (well, if you werent screaming abuse back at the tele).

Freddy's mumblings need elocution. He has points to make (at least I think he does) but they're a little hard to work out at times. Maybe they can have subtitles for the hard of understanding?

On a positive note, maybe he'll start advertising Fujitsu Air Conditioners because as we all know itsh Aushtraylershs fashorite hair - Fujitshhhhoo
