Brilliant article that is well written and really sums everything 100%......very sad state of affairs under poor management & woeful decision making.

Blame Bennett for our position? Bullsh... 3 years of dominance and that was his job. Nothing in his contract suggested after his tenure he had to leave a legacy, but he did leave a lot of silverware.

Beau didnt leave with Bennett.. he left under Price.

De-Merge ? Not a realistic option. If so suggest a financially viable one.

Dismissing the 11 straight titles ... what ? " paints a false picture of the mighty St George. "

Agree with Mary not being in charge of coaching.

Good intent ? I think so.

Content false.

Perhaps Bennett would have had a very different mindset to what his job was if given the 5 years he asked for instead of restricted to 3 years.
A 3 year plan is a very different time frame to bring success, in comparison to a 5 year plan.
3 years means that you are leveraging external recruitment a lot more to achieve success quickly, a 5 year plan would mean he would have also been investing in junior talent a lot more....

He was given 3 years to achieve success and he did it instantly. The very first game of the season against Melbourne in his first year in charge, although we lost we instantly looked like a team that was physically hardened, more disciplined and lost the tag of having a soft underbelly...

Just my thoughts....

100% correct IMO also Mr Red. Just by not offering the 5 years Doust should have been booted then.
It's just gone onto be one Fu*k up after another with our lot.
Embarrassing and bloody shameful for any of them to call themselves directors in any capacity.
Directors are meant to lead and not bloody destroy!!
