Cabramatta captain Luke Branighan will play for Balmain for the remainder of the season. This is a huge blow to Cabra who have underperformed in the first 7 rounds.
Other notable changes in Jim Beam were the first appearances of Andrew Abounader and Dean Loder for Souths Juniors. Loder was with Ryde Eastwood during the summer. I cant understand how a team with such obvious deficiences would let a player such as Loder leave.
John Strange, who played in the Canterbury Ball, Flegg and Presidents Cup teams during the 90's, made his debut for The Entrance on sunday. With Gav Westwood also available for the first time the Tigers are building nicely for the round 10 game against the Bulls, who introduced Dave Moffatt last weekend after being injured in the trials. Moffatt needs a bit of match fitness but his experience will be invaluable in the games that count.
