ok boys and girls, i'll give you my thoughts on this race

a few expensive buys in this lot, with quite a few horses being from first-season sires suck as Choisir, Johannesburg, Rock Of Gibraltar and Bel Esprit

i looked through the trials reports and i blackbooked a few that i thought would be handy 2yos, and even 3yos

MAXISUN started fast and then kept going. these sort of horses win 2yo races as they just run and the other horses dont know how to catch them

ROYAL ESPRIT missed the kick but showed great acceleration in the home straight to win by over 3 lengths. could be the knockout chance

SPRINGBOKS i entered in because i thought it might make a good late 2yo and a 3yo. got home late in the trial although he was being pushed along. i'm happy to risk him until at least the autumn

other major chances seem to be HUSSON LIGHTNING and NORTH STREET (who bolted in by 17 in it's trial)

I reckon Maxisun may be a handy horse too.

But not tipping him I always try to steer clear of debut runners drawn wide. Like them to get to the paint.

I'm going with Husson Lightning.

I would not rule out Murtijill lads. There have been a few whispers around for the horse.

Yep he ran well in the trial behind todays fav (Max).

Might be a couple of handy ones come out of this.

Could be a bunch of Sonarans too...
