[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Hlad has signed from Super League side Castleford Tigers with a view to staying for the 2009 season also.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Australian back row forward Brendan, who has a number of relatives in Newcastle, is a British passport holder and has found opportunities limited whilst at the Tigers.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Brendon has played 3 games for Castleford this season, namely against Catalan Dragons, Bradford Bulls and Wigan Warriors, and was previously a member of the Penrith Panthers Under 21 squad before flying to the UK.[/FONT]
[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Hlad will train with the squad for the first time this evening and is in contention to go straight into the squad to face Blackpool Panthers this weekend.[/FONT]
