I read some wraps for Verlinden a couple of weeks ago. What kind of prop is he? Worker or impact (to overly simplify it)?
I think Luke Stuart is starting to fill Yak's shoes nicely, although another worker might be desireable.
Kafusi isn't a Cusack-like worker, but he does play second row too. His fitness still seems poor since returning from injury.
Beside maybe Kafusi, who all is on the market?
According to
http://people.aapt.net.au/darrylbradford/2009_mov.htm (which isn't a resource I overly trust) Jesse Royal from Newcastle is available as well as Aaron Cannings from Gold Coast. Then there's Michael Luck from the Warriors.
Royal is more like Manoukafoa (with a bit flashier offload) than the others, but is unproven himself. He definitely isn't
the kind of player Brian Smith likes, so I doubt the Knights are trying to retain him. Richard Fa'aoso is listed too ... he's certainly big and strong and has a name not too different from Fa'alogo.
Aaron Cannings would complement Roy nicely. I'm surprised he's even available, but he went well at the Eels and has come on from there at the Titans.
Michael Luck is more of a backrower, I think, but he certainly is a tackling machine.
Bugger all fullback knocking around the joint, though. Sigh.
