I am not saying it is Brian's fault that the team has nothing BUT it really didn't help that he put Thorman on the bench as an 18th man and then on game day puts him into the most important position on the field. It may not of lost us the game but it certainly wasn't the most intelligent call!!!!!!!

If we can keep the same number 7 atleast for more than 2 weeks maybe we would have a shot at the finals but at this rate we will be the wooden spooners with no trouble at all.

You watch everyone blame this loss on Witt, it was his fault last week so i am sure it has to be his fault this week................even though he wasn't half back it must be his fault because BS moved him to 5/8th.

I haven't heard one player blame Witt for that performance, on the other hand your the one blameing the entire performance on thorman.

What options did the halves have tonight......Sweet FA, A Johns would've looked ordinary tonight.

And where was Vella after his big talk in the paper about taking up the slack from hindy. On tonight's performance, he hindy must be worth about a $mil.

Players don't blame it on Witt, i am talking about everyone on this board!!!!!

Thorman didn't lose us the game the lack of enthusiam and poor options cost us the game.

In the other post i was talking about Thorman moving into the P/L after dropping off as the 18th man and we have lost each time he has done that. While Witt and then Smith were in charge at halfback for P/L we went to the top of the table, since Thorman took over the halfback role we have been hammered, it is fact, i was at the games and he was ordinary.........

I hope he proves me wrong, i hope Smith retains him for next year, he has great potential i just think he needs to be eased into the palymaker role, even in P/L.

Tim Smith should go to half and Thorman should move to 5/8th in P/L and Thorman can ease into Australia. Brian Smith keeps putting too much pressure on the poor guy!!!!

Vella was so good last week and this week he wasn't even there!!!!!

He is an untouchable at this club and doesn't have to perform every week..........that is unfair to the likes of Cordoba because it makes it harder for them to show how good they are........they can play as well as they like in P/L but because of the undroppable they won't be promoted

Fair enough Kornstar,

I don't know about Smith either to tell you the truth?, he seems Ok??, but so did Thorman in Premier League this year.

Your not kidding about the undroppables.

Its a joke.
Out of the Horses mouth.
Smith said a couple of weeks ago to someone who goes to Parra games with me that he cannot drop Vella because there is no one to replace him.

Go Figure.
I'd rather have Shirley Temple.

I think they need to put Smith in the halfback role in P/L and let him make it his own rather than putting him at 5/8th, you can tell he doesn't like it cause he likes control..........

We need to build our future and I believe Tim Smith is our future.

I think there are a few great young kids to replace Vella with, has BS ever watched Cordoba, Curtis or Hauraki?????? These kids may only be young but they are enthusiastic, that is what we need, maybe the other players would catch it!!!!!

Can't frickin win eh!!!

"We need two creative halves Brain"...."Don't play Wagon as 5/8 Brian"

They are f**king professional footballers - if they can't f**king catch, pass, play the ball, tackle, etc etc then they can get nicked!!!....if you are sent on the field to play a role for your team, then fricking DO IT!!!

Actually, I reackon we would have gone better with Wagon at 5/8. I disagree with Misty's rating of "2" in the other thread. If anything, today I thought he looked the most likely to either a) break the line or b) put someone else through a hole.

In the end, he did make a couple of half breaks and we almost scored off them and he also threw a couple of good passes to players running into gaps. By contrast, it seems that almost everytime Thorman passes the ball, the receiver either gets tackled immediately (if they're luck) or smashed.

When will you stop bitching about me Misty?.....I know the situation perfectly well - but fact is what we have on the park now is what we have available and it seems to be people will bitch and moan regardless of what happens.

Misty YOU have said many times that the players we have in our team have the ability to win a premiership (they are just poorly motivated/coached/etc)....why can't YOU wake up and put a bit of blame on the frickin slack arse performances of alot of our players instead of JUST putting all the blame on the coach?.....do YOU believe Brian told Vella to only make 9 hitups all night? or told players to drop the ball over and over? or stand by and watch NZ players run by and try to chase them from behind?

I won't blame the loss on the ref in this instance, the basics of the game should come naturally to professional players.

As much as i don't like Smith as a coach, catching, passing, play the ball are all basic fundementals of the game, we couldn't even get that right.

Strider, it's quite simple, really. One day you might grasp it.

Smith has the power to drop players that don't follow his game plans. He doesn't, and we continue to play shit.

If the coaches game plans are not followed, who has the responsibility to fix the problem?

Answer - THE COACH!!!

Understand?

BS's idea of a creative half is to play a fat, slow, balding former frontrower....no former rugby league player at 5/8.......all because Corey Pearson used to play for St. George.....it makes me sick how Parra are the laughing stock of the NRL
