BRISBANE have made a late change to their backline for tomorrow's game with Cronulla, following the withdrawal of winger Scott Minto.

Test centre Brent Tate moves to the wing with Tony Carroll coming out of the pack to play in the centres.

Carroll's return to the backline gives youngster David Stagg a starting spot in the Broncos' pack as a reward for his recent outstanding form.

Coach Wayne Bennett said the changes won't cause too much disruption with Tate capable of making the adjustment.

Put Vagana on Carroll. Sure, Vagana has been defensively poor in recent times but when it comes to attack he'll run rings around that fat, slow, overrated Carroll guy.

I'd go the opposite. no matter how bad Nigel's defense is, Carroll just isn't a fast and elusive runner of the ball. He is, however, probably the biggest hitter and best defender in our team imo.
