Bronco! Magazine out now!
Monday June 27, 2005
Issue No.2 of Bronco magazine for Season 2005 has been published and will be available at newsagents from tomorrow (Friday).
Featuring a graphic photo of veteran prop Shane Webcke on the cover (pictured), the magazine is packed full of information about the NRL premiership leaders and is a must for all Broncos fans. The magazine looks at a number of interesting events and issues, going behind the scenes to give our fans an insight in to 'your' club.
Webcke, the hard-working professional who last week notched his first win as captain, talks about his retirement from rep football and his dream to maybe extend his tenure at the club for one more season after 2006. He also frankly discusses his 'dicky' knee, and how he is able to maintain his level of fitness.
In a three-page feature Broncos development manager Peter Nolan details the clubs' state-wide support of schoolboy rugby league. More than $600,000 annually is spent supporting 14 different competitions throughout Queensland, catering for 10,000 schoolboys.
We also unveil details of the Broncos' Welfare Program, part of which is a workplace training placement scheme for NRL players. Karmichael Hunt, Dane Carlaw, Brett Seymour and Scott Minto talk about their placement in the workforce and their plans - and goals - for life after football.
In other stories we:
- announce details of Ergon Energy's extension of their principal sponsorship, and the 'Captains of the Cauldron' mural
- reveal the story behind those captivating 'Norma' commercials
- salute Wayne Bennett's 300th win as a coach and reveal some other Broncos' milestones of Season 2005
- introduce the Broncos new chairman
- expose the identity of those boisterous 'black zone' supporters at Suncorp Stadium and
- go to church with the Broncos
As well, there is the Broncos Mailbox where our fans have their say; Broncos Round-Up, detailing events at the club in the past few months, and managing director Bruno Cullen has his say on the season so far. We also introduce a couple of new Broncos sponsors, take you behind the scenes at a corporate partners event and salute a number of our former champions.
No Broncos supporter should be without their copy of Bronco, which is published quarterly. To make sure of your copy why not become a subscriber for $26 annually? To arrange your subscription now, contact Tracy Carmody on 07 3858 9111 or [email protected]
