Inspired by another thread, if these two teams played each other who do you think would win?

Broncos:

D.Lockyer, S. Renouf, M.Devere, D.Smith, W.Sailor, K.Walters, A.Langer (c), S.Webcke, P.Lee, A.Gee, G.Tallis, B.Thorn, T.Carroll.

Raiders:

Brett Mullins, Ken Nagas, Mal Meninga (c), Ruben Wiki, Noa Nadruku, Laurie Daley, Ricky Stuart, Bradley Clyde, David Furner, Jason Croker, Paul Osborne, Steve Walters, Quentin Pongia

Looking at those teams on paper (which is the only way you can compare them) I think the Raiders side looks the more dominant.

I said Broncos 98 just on the strength of the forwards. But it's pretty impossible really.

What a team! Its remarkable that Balmain held them to 10-all. I think that draw interrupted a lengthy losing streak.

Tigers v Caberra in 1994 was 0-40-odd...ohhh the days when Canberra had a dazzling attack!!

Both teams are awesome and have different advantages and disadvantages ect.

Stuarts long kicking and long passing game, up against Alfies short kicking and short passes. Those two backrows are second to none, Croker being the weakest link, and the fact he's one hell of a player shows how strong they are. Hooker would be the Broncos weakest link in the team and over all I'd say the props would be the Raiders weakest position.

Anyone got a coin?

I did vote Broncos, but that's my bias.

Suffice to say those clubs would have needed a 5-6 million dollar salary cap to keep those players today.
