Just bought some tickets to the Broncos V Sharks game in two weeks, cost $76 for two tickets on about the 5-10m line. Easily the most expensive tickets in the NRL. No discount for being an away season ticket holder either, absoulate disgrace I bet beer is $5 too! Luckily the Sharks will win so it will still be a good day

A regular cup is 5 bucks, which isn't much more than what it costs at Telstra.

Beer is $4 at Shark Park. They were only B-Grade tickets all A grade were sold out.Imagine taking a family at those prices.

Bit f'n rich.

Gosford ticket prices are okay but food has to be the priciest like bloody $4.5 for a meat pie and $5 for chips and $5 for a beer.

Broncos prices are $24 behind the sticks, $32 in the corners, $38 for the bays next to the corners, and $43 for the middle. That's daylight robbery. More than a semi costs.

I know they have gone up a bit.

In 04 student price was $12.50 for behind the posts which includes transport to and from the game. So for a day at the game for a Gold Coast fan it was pretty damn good value. You dont get a bad view any where at suncorp, its a great facility.

I think entry is $22(min) for adults these days, which if you take into account travel (if you use it) isnt too bad value.

We went to the Parra game and it was $32 for directly behind the posts.

I can go to any match in NSW for $8 (including telstra and aussie stadiums) if I show my Cronulla Season Ticket, thats value and why I go to every game in NSW. If i am going to go all the way to Brisbane for a game (WHICH I AM) I don't think those prices are fair. To be a broncos fan and get a good seat and go every week you have to have a quid especially if you want to take your family.

someone has to pay for the stadium.
Has not affected the crowds. they still get 20-40k depeding on the class of team that they play.

Charlie - the Qld govt paid for the stadium because of the benefits such infrastructure brings to the State. This type of pricing would knock thousands off the attendance.

In Sydney away fans do get the $8 ticket but not to Parramatta games as far as I am aware. I thought they opted out.

Someone has to pay for Aussie,Canberra,Telstra,Energy Australia and Express Advocate stadiums as well and they don't charge nearly that much. Imagine if thier prices were more reasonable they might get 40-50k and end up with the same amount if not more money!

Do the broncos own Lang Park? i dont think so. They lease it out to the broncos. ( i could be wrong...so i will put my hand up if i am) and we dont know how much they charge for it.

None of the stadiums I mentioned own their grounds either. Could it be that the Broncos are money hungry and arrogant? That could never happen could it?

I agree with whoever said they could lower the prices and draw more, though that would only require more staff to look after them (e.g. take their flags off them, take the chips and lollies out of their bags before entering the stadium etc, etc.). A crowd of 40000 would give so much more atmosphere than a crowd of 25000.

could it also be because the broncos have greater overheads at suncorp?
Suncorp aint exactly shark park, leichhardt oval, or brookvale (all great league grounds, but not exactly "modern")
