Well today at Carara Stadium on the Gold Coast 2 very tired teams will battle it out in what is an important match for both.

It really is a disgrace from the NRL to make these 2 teams play each other a few days after the test. The most players for both Aus and NZ tradionally come from these 2 sides and that definetly was the case this year. The Broncos had 9 players in the Australian and Junior Roos squads while the Warriors had 8(?) in the New Zealand and Junior Kiwis squads. 17 players in total, half the players that would be playing in the match. Now that does not make for a pretty match.

Injuries always occur in tests and this one was no exception with Meyers being ruled out for todays match after taking a heavy blow to the head. For the Warriors Jones(ankle), Betham and Paleaasina(corked thigh) are all out for the Warriors.

The Warriors should struggle to keep up with the Broncos today. Jones is a crucial loss while Betham and the big rig being out will lessen their mongrel and go forward that both those players bring to the squad. On the bright side former Eels prop Mark tookey is back after sufferring a knee injury earlier in the year against the Dragons. The Warriors need these 2 points desperatly with the Dragons and Eagles both pressing hard for that 8th finals spot. They can't afford to fall behind in the race as round 26 creeps up on us.

For Brisbane this match marks the comeback of Kevin Walters in a huge gamble which makes the langer decision look insignificant. With Walters its just a case of wait and see, he hasn't played since early on in the year in a brief stint with Warrington. Kevvie will hopefully add some direction in the halves and his experience will be vital in a squad that has been lacking a bit of leadership since Tallis was ruled out for the season. Meyers is a big loss but they still have a formidable forward pack that should be able to match the Warriors big boys. I feel its make or break for the Broncos today, they need some confidence and a loss here would be a big blow to their premiership campaign.

I've been unable to get hold of a confirmed Warriors squad but this is the Broncos squad that is likely to take the field today:
Darren Lockyer ©, Lote Tuqiri, Chris Walker, Michael De Vere, Wendell Sailor, Kevin Walters, Scott Prince, Shane Webcke, Luke Priddis, Mark Corvo, Petero Civoniceva, Dane Carlaw, Ashley Harrison. Interchange: Carl Webb, Justin Hodges, Darren Burns, Damon Keating.

Well this is my grand entrance into this forum and i hope to spend a bit of time around here. Great work Legend!

I have faith in you Kevvie!
Cheers
