Brisbane will play an NRL pre-season trial against South Sydney in the Queensland coastal city of Bundaberg next month.
Broncos officials say the trial had been locked in for February 12 at Bundaberg's Brothers Sports Club.
"We can confirm it's on but we can't confirm which players will be involved, although there'll be some high profile players," said a Broncos spokesman.
Brisbane's first full blown hit-out will be the following weekend on the Gold Coast against last season's finalists Melbourne Storm at Carrara on February 19.
That game would feature most of the club's NRL-listed players including new signings Justin Hodges, battling to win a centre spot against Test representatives Shaun Berrigan and Brent Tate.
Giant forward Brad Thorn, back from a rugby union stint that involved playing for the All Blacks, should also play in the match.
It would be followed by another practice match against the Canberra Raiders in Toowoomba which will help coach Wayne Bennett decide the make up of his side for the club's opening NRL game of the 2005 season against North Queensland at Suncorp Stadium.
