Bryce Gibbs-Away-A-Penalty

He gave away 3-4 penalties on his own tonight against the Eels including the 8 point try. Just stupid things. If Hayne didn't score that amazing try at the death to make it 26-18, then this thread would surely be titled "Bryce Gibbs costs Tigers Victory".

Seriously, every week he gets penalised. Every single week.

Other thoughts on the game were TNT's injury really hurt us and so did getting tackled on the last.

Marshall and Farah's failure to kick at the end of sets in the second half cost the Tigers dearly tonight. Farah is horribly out of form.

The Gibbs penalty probably hurt but nowehere as much as the last tackle options. In stead of making the Eels work it out inside their own twnety they were regularly giving away 20 to 30 metres.

Last tackle options were very poor. This game was there to be won. Tonight it seemed like we needed a another strike forward to get the Eels on the back foot. KeithG was great but I would drop Gibbs for DL in a heartbeat. Oh well, on to the Gold Coast.

Mate I thought Gibbs played well. Made some good metres and a good tackle on hayne. That 8 point try was a joke he's a 100kg bloke he was sliding out of it, he can't just magically disappear.

If Gibbs hadn't been injured - leading to the last pen - making two try savers in a row we'd not have been in the game anyway?

if marshall could kick side liners and the burt wasnt a girl scout halftime could have been 12-4

I can't believe Gibbs is still in first grade. He's gotta be one of the softest front rowers in the NRL, consistantly over the last 3-4 years.

Well played well to start - got away to a good lead - then in 1 split second Gibbs cost us the game by ruining the motivation.

After all that work - he gave away the entire lead and the heads went down.

Wouldnt mind having that game again with ANYONE from this forum playing at prop instead of Gibbs. We would have won.

Since WT have 2 NSW Cups teams in Balmain and the Magpies, surely there is somebody who can play prop who can step up. Or at least give Skando more game time.

once again this fool gives away his pet penalties lying down in the ruck does he really think he can get away with this bevaviour in every match everyone knows he lays in the ruck to try and slow the play the ball down and he keeps getting penalised but, still he persists with this tactic and considering his input in the game which is not exactly game breaking can we afford to have him in the first up team..

ps,that cover tackle he made was only possible because he was lying down in his own half bludging.....

the fact of the matter is:

if burt didn't stay down and had a tantrum it would never been a penalty. gibbs tried to pull out he probably should have just ran into him

the penalty when he tackled hayne, yes he faked injury. of course he did, who wouldn't. ref had to give him benefit of doubt he was legitamately injured, otherwise he would have been in the sinbin
