Bucks deal Andrew Bogut

The Andrew Bogut era in Milwaukee is over.

The Milwaukee Bucks have traded Bogut and forward Stephen Jackson to the Golden State Warriors for Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown, sources confirmed to ESPN.com.
Bogut was drafted first overall by Milwaukee in the 2005 draft and has averaged 12.7 points and 9.3 rebounds over his seven-year career.
In return the Bucks welcome the instant offense that Ellis provides to pair with star point guard Brandon Jennings.
Ellis, a seven-year veteran, has career averages of 19.6 points and 4.4 assists and is already used to sharing the backcourt with a dynamic player, having worked alongside Stephen Curry since the 2009 season.
The Warriors are also bringing back a fan favorite in landing Jackson. The volatile veteran was a key player on the Golden State squad that knocked out the top-seeded Dallas Mavericks in the first round of the 2007 playoffs.
In addition to Ellis the Bucks get Udoh (5.5 PPG, 3.3 RPG in 38 games this season) and journeyman center Brown (6.3, 6.4 in nine games).

That is a great return for Bogut! Rids them of Jacksons deal and gets them Ellis, Udoh(meh) and a big expiring contract. Nice

ellis and jennings as a back court? lawl

Works for both teams.

GSW can be rid of Jackson at the end of the season if he doesn't play better.

Bogut if healthy gives the Warriors a pretty handy line up.

I wonder how Jackson will do back in GS. Did pretty well there last go around.

If Bogut can ever stay healthy, will be a pretty good trade for the Warriors.

Bucks pair an inefficient chucker with their existing inefficient chucker. Good times.

Warriors finally get a defensive orientated player, if he can stay on the court he will be great for the Warriors team.

The Bucks though, lose their defensive anchor and add a undersized chucker to their backourt along side Jennings. Don't like the deal for the Bucks imo

well that's the one positive you need to take out of it. No one can score points and still get pumped like the Warriors.

It is sad to see Monta go though, he was a loyal servant, but we did need more D.

Happy for the big fella.

Bucks have been swimming in one spot for 4 years, time for Bogut to see what he can achieve in a organisation with real ambition. If the Warriors strike lucky in the draft they could do some damage the next few years.
