Did anybody watch the Woolongong v Melbourne match? Towards the end of the game, the Hawks put this midget point guard on named Zac Delaney.
I have NEVER heard a louder cheer in a regular season NBL match than when this guy came on. He is the shortest nbl player I've seen in years. Everything about this guy was funny.

*his height
*he looks about 12
*the way he skips and dribbles the ball
*his lay-up technique
*his rebound over Tommy Greer (a centre)

I have never laughed so hard at an NBL match ever. Shame he was only on for about two minutes. But, Im already a fan

Even you you are not a basketball, try catching the end of a Hawks match on tv. You will piss yourself laughing.

I actually tuned in to a bit of that game, but must have obviously missed the player you were referring to.

Do you know if they Fox Sports are showing a replay at any stage?

They tend to show replays the next morning. But, they do show replays more than once.
The last two minutes were awesome.

That yankee guard for the Hawks look pretty decent. That coast-to-coast bucket where he took the contact and still laid it in off the glass was nice.

Apparently he's like 5'6. There's a pretty funny interview on youtube with him, former gymnast according to the little info there is online.

Mugsy Bogues was 5'3 and he carved up inn the nba ,spud webb was 5'8 as well
in the 90s it was quiet comon to have players under 6'0

I played with him when I was like 12 ish. Pretty suprised to see him make it, there were alot better players from the Illawarra and Shoalhaven in our age group then him.

In the last 20 years there's only been 33 players under 6 foot in the NBA to play more than 10 games total. It's a pretty rare occurrence.

There have been a lot more than 33. Heights are typically overlisted by between 1 and 2 inches so most 6 and 6'1" listed NBA players are under 6'.

Officially there's been 33. Heights being "overlisted" is just speculation. Iverson is the one most people claim is under 6 foot, but he measured out at 6'0 without shoes at the pre-draft camp. There's no reason for whoever measured him to lie about that, they didn't work for Iverson or for the team who drafted him.

Some players heights fluctuate as their careers go on, for whatever reason... I think KG didn't want to be listed as over 7 foot so he didn't have to play the five, Tim Duncan's story might be similar but there's a good archive of pre-draft measurements here:

http://www.draftexpress.com/nba-pre-draft-measurements/?year=All&sort2=ASC&draft=0&pos=&sort=1

Edit: Obviously some teams/players do exaggerate their height, but you can pretty much find out the truth in that link above. Like KG measured 6'11 without shoes but is listed at 6'11 on nba.com... pretty sure he plays in shoes which would push him over that 7 foot mark.

There's also the tendency of big men to understate their weight.

For example, atm on Shaq's NBA bio page, he is listed at 325 pounds. If Shaq is 325 pounds, then I'm Kobe Bryant.

I was talking to a friend of mine about that the other day actually, he mentioned Baron Davis' weight being listed the same even when he had clearly gotten fatter. Then there's Eddy Curry and his annual "I've lost 50lbs...".

Eddy Curry

I can remember back to a time when he was actually a productive NBA player

It's not speculation, it's common knowledge. Even if they aren't straight out lieing, they are listing in shoes, which is over an inch boost.
