How's that bald prick got a gig on the sideline for games? I actively avoid the shows he's on now have to put up with the maggot during games.
Fox are cutting costs so same people, are popping up everywhere, regardless of if they are actually any good!

Typical alpha male bullshit. Not surprised from Kent and Hooper though. We're talking about two dickheads who feel emasculated in the Rugby League world because they never really played the game, so they try to fit in the only way they know how.

They've been bullies for a long time - the only real surprise here is that they've actually done it to someones face instead of in a studio.

As for Tallis, lots of respect lost. If anyone know how hard it would be to show vulnerability in front of a large audience, it should be him.
Tallis was a total merkin of a player so it's no surprise coming from him really

So how did 2MMM do in the last ratings?

Abysmal. Not just triple M but the whole southern cross Austereo network. Hadley has an agenda against triple M at the moment as they dropped his show from regional airplay. They replaced it with Australia today with Steve Price, which saying it is abhorrent would be giving it too much credit. Melbourne centric & has Pauline Hanson as a recurring guest.
They've dropped something like 16% of their audience on the mid nth cst.

Tallis on 360 last night described a Parra-Panthers game as
a war of "nutrition" [no bullsh*t,that's the word he used]
Anyone this stupid has no right to put sh*t on anybody
for anything.
he's always been a bully.

He may be on to something.

Penrith stadium has KFC, Maccas and Krispy Kreme in the car park across the road.

Can Bankwest match that?

Ridiculous to think Penrith haven't signed Latrell and Milford given the fast food on offer opposition training.

Only radio I listen to is ABC's Roy & HG on Sat, and Radio Caroline. (ex-pirate radio station from the 60's.)

Hooper is without peer as the biggest dickhead in Rugby League.

He offers nothing, he has no knowledge of the game and is a proper asshole.

Would love be for this to be the end of him but nothing will happen.
100%. He's the biggest total f**kwit in a field of them in the media.

How no one has flattened him yet I have no idea.

I listen to that show whilst overseas and have noted Hooper, in particular, going for Maroon increasingly, at every opportunity, calling him the 'Redfern Rocket' and questioning his earnings etc. Probably eyes the presenting role.

The evidence is all there if Maroon chooses to go down the legal route - which he should.

I was surprised at Tallis joining in because I always felt him to be the type who'd defend those being bullied. Maybe he's changed because he daren't contradict his Fox colleagues. Money always talks.

Hope Maroon takes the lot of them to the cleaners. I'm done with the station.

Bullying is the scourge of Australian culture. It’s this sort of dumbarsed, macho, cheap-shot trash that leads all the way to domestic violence and most other forms of abuse and victimisation. Rugby league is a fantastic sport that should be all about the complete opposite of this sort of shit.

Triple ahem: Station red-faced over Maroon walkout

Danny Weidler

Fox Sports reporter James Hooper is expected to offer an on-air apology today to the man who last week quit the Triple M program they hosted together – Anthony Maroon. The apology will come as secret moves are already being made to move Maroon’s replacement, Tony Squires.

Maroon’s walk-out last Sunday has thrown the entire show into chaos, with the network insisting it doesn’t condone on-air harassment while keeping co-hosts Hooper, Paul Kent and Gorden Tallis on the show.

It’s unlikley Hooper’s apology will mean much to Maroon.
Veteran presenter Squires has climbed into the chair at short notice to replace Maroon but, in a bizarre move, the hosts of the show have reached out to Gus Worland to step into the role. It remains to be seen if Squires is given as rough a ride on air by Kent and Hooper, whose constant jibes led to Maroon’s on-air walk-out.

Given Squires was not their preference, he will be walking into a show weighed down by Maroon’s exit and a lack of public contrition from the hosts, which contributes to the view the station condones the behaviour that caused Maroon such distress. To approach Worland is tone-deaf. He is an ambassador for men’s mental health and stepping into that environment would be a bad look.
There’s a school of thought that says the best solution would be to give Maroon his slot back and allow him to control what happened from there. He is the out-and-out star of the show.
Maroon says Triple M has offered him support as he deals with this issue. The network has the likes of Brent Read and Emma Lawrence in their stable already, as well as Benji Marshall and James Graham if they needed a fresh start.
For those who have not followed the drama, Maroon – one of the nicest people in the league industry – walked off the show mid-broadcast last Sunday after being badgered about suggestions the ATO needs to look into his affairs.

Maroon said on air he’d asked them repeatedly to stop that line of conversation and revealed he had complained to management about it. We contacted the previous head of football at Triple M, Brad McNamara, and the current one, Ewan Giles, to get clarity on that. We were directed to Triple M head of PR Janna Hocking, who referred us to a generic statement issued by the network.
This column has reached out to all mentioned but there’s been no comment. Hooper and Kent were contacted but offered no comment. Kent is not expected to join Hooper in apologising to Maroon. It’s understood he has been more concerned about Hooper’s wellbeing.
There have been suggestions that Hooper would take a break from his role. That was denied by the station when I put that to them. Hooper has been targeted by his own organisation, News Corp, who has laid much of the blame at his feet.
That’s quite remarkable, given he and Kent went at Maroon with equal delight. Hooper and Kent failed to read the room equally. They even continued to bag Maroon after his walk-out, thinking it was a joke.

Apology written by someone in PR and read monotonously on air
