I've never been so excited about an English try... Can't wait to see a red and green jersey on this kid

Burgess is very mobile for a big man & the possibilities of where / how to play him are endless.
With David Taylor possessing much of the same qualities then we will have two of the most agile, hardest running forwards in the NRL.
With Baz, Luke, Crocker, Roy & Ben Ross then we have the nucleus of the ideal pack that will be the envy of every other NRL side.
It's all up to John Lang now but i cant wait to see that pack run around in the red & green of South Sydney.

Well that will be a mark of what possesses the man to succeed in the NRL & so far the signs are good.
Whilst the NRL is definitely a step up from the English SL Sam has shown just a small amount of what talent he has against Australia & NZ & there can be no question marks over what we have seen thus far.

Great try he scored but he f**ked up by throwing it to Thurston afterwards.

But yeah, I'm expecting him to do really good at Souths and if you guys do good he will play a major role in your success.

He really stepped up in the 4 Nations to give us a taste of what he could do in the NRL. Hope he doesn't fall to the pressure or home sickness.

This thread should be renamed, he scored two tries not one.

Further more he has scored 3 tries against Australia from two games.

3 tries against the best team in the world and people want to knock him.

FMD, you blokes deserve to be whacked in the head with a crumpet until some sense is knocked into you.

And sucked in Manly for missing his signature.

Serioulsy, who wants to play for dickheads like Manly anyways?

Id rather be cuddled by George Bush wearing a pink tutu and signing "God save Amercia"

he is 20 with a pocket full of cash and he will have aussie chicks all over him....

homesick? not likely.

All you knockers would be less critical if your team included Burgess. from what I have seen he will compliment most forward packs in Oz and as such will provide Souths with Taylor a missing component to our game ie forward that can step, pass and that component we all love 'flare'.

This addition with Taylor provides a greater balance to our team and barring injuries, home sickness etc will find Souths as super competitive.

I made the post straight after his first try. When he scored a second I passed out with delerium and have only just come to... is it March yet? :D

He is 20, could of played NYC this year.
Will be at Souths until at least 2013.
Imagine how much money clubs will be throwing at him aged 24 with a few premierships under his belt
