I'm just wondering whether going out for dinner with your wife is the same as going out for breakfast? For instance, if I was an NRL coach, and wanted to go grab a coffee and a muffin then sat down with my wife and kids and ate it there..

Would I be in breach?

Asking for a friend.

What if we play a game in W.A ? Can you go out for dinner with your Wife there?
Dunno, but all NRL teams have to play by NRL rules, not the state's they are residing in.
Look at that AFL WAG, she got done for going to a beauty parlour or something??
I'd say if an NRL coach, his wife and kids are mixing in with the public it is way worse than what Creeping Jesus has done. Are the said coaches wife and kids in the bubble with him???? If it's whom I'm thinking then I really doubt it

Frenzy.

Forget looking at individual state rules.

NRL are under Operation Apollo and they can't go anywhere. The OA rules are far more stringent than any of the State Govt rules.

PS Didn't read BBBs post before I was checking this so posting anyway

The Creeping One help set up the protocols for COVID-19 ,so we could play. He'd have to be suffering dementia to forget something he helped set up.

Remembering in Noo Souf Whales the passing on of this virus in a lot of cases, started in restaurants on a sit down basis.Crossroads Hotel ,2 related Thai restaurants.
Players can get takeaway from whoever. It's the sitting down in enclosed restaurant space, that is the problem for the NRL protocol.

And now add Alfie the Gambler Langer to the covidiot list. Here's a bit copied and pasted from an NRL.com story

Broncos legend and long-time trainer Allan Langer is the latest coaching staff member to be caught up in a potential breach of COVID-19 protocols and won't travel to Sydney for Friday night's clash with the Rabbitohs.

The Broncos released a statement on Friday afternoon to confirm Langer and two other football staff members - Ryan Whitley and Blake Duncan - attended a private function in Brisbane and will be required to undergo a COVID-19 test as a precaution before being allowed to return to the squad's bubble.

The announcement came before the Broncos boarded a chartered flight for Sydney on Friday afternoon for their clash with the Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium.

It is understood they attended a function to mark Langer's birthday - the former international turned 54 on Saturday - with only a few people in a private dining room upstairs at the Caxton Hotel in Brisbane.

It comes less than 24 hours after Rabbitohs coach Wayne Bennett and Dragons prop Paul Vaughan were stood down after they breached protocols.
