Burt almost made me spill my beer

5 minutes to go and we are 2 points up, Manly put up a bomb and Burt could not look any more disinterested. Once again he lets another bomb bounce and Manly score the winning try soon after. I was so angry i nearly threw my beer threw the tv screen.
Burt is playing so poorly at the moment. Last week I noticed him letting a number of kicks bounce instead of taking them on the full and this week it cost us the game.
Hayne must be full back. Burts kick returns give us nothing and hayne is wasted in teh centres. Our best ball runner and he is limited to playing on one side of the field and running from dummy half. What a waste and what poor coaching.

I agree I could see it coming look Burt played OK in the first game against the Dogs but against the Warriors he got smashed cleaning up a loose ball and he has look tenative since he just needs some time with Wenty to get some confidence back but Hayne has to move back we need to catch the BALL ON THE FULL from now on !!!!

That was a point were my heart sunk! The bomb went up, it came down and bounced, Manly got the ball back!! WTF??? After sucking all game we had somehow got into the lead and if we played smart we could of won. And then a bomb is allowed to bounce!!! It's the fullback's job to take the high ball so naturally blame falls on Burt, but at the time I just found it hard to believe he wasn't there. He's not that bad under the high ball and I think he is generally a very good positional player reading the play and covering up really well. Was there a reason he wasn't there, like being hurt or involved in the previous tackle? The kick landed pretty mid-Field so he should have been somewhere. I wanted to see a replay to see what if any was the reason for his failure, did anyone else notice some "reason" for his absence?
If we had of defended our 2 point lead and won, it would of been just like our other two victory's,an escape. We lost the game from more than just that bomb not being taken, but that was the point where we invited Manly to win. It is symbolic of our entire game at the moment, pathetic.
I rate Burt as player and after last year's performance he definitely deserved his spot back, but from what I've seen, like a lot of other people I think Hayne should be at fullback. With our forwards lacking much go forward we need all the meters we can get from kick returns.
Can someone please find some defence of Burty's F--kup last night?

We should play all the NRL team at Wenty... Ive heard calls for most of them to be dropped after this week.... we should field a squad of debutantes and see how that goes
