Lad of the Manor is my early tip in this one, Perlin was one that I rated very

Highly last year but didn't live up to expectations will be interesting to see how he goes

Fields of Omagh could suprise fresh

Very interesting race. I agree Billy, Fields never runs a bad race and is good fresh. I'd put a stack on it to place.

No way Bomber Bill can run out 1400

Mof I think the old Bomber can win over 1400m at this stage of his career. BUT not this race, it's way out of his depth now. That was a nice win over 1300m at Sandown from him a few starts back. But this is to much for him now.

Going to be a good race this. I'll wait for some weights and barriers first.

fields of omagh wont win this. wont place either.
lad of the manor may sneak a place but i'm not jumping on him until at least 1600m
the bomber can't win this. just too strong field

and macca, it's WFA so you should be able to work out the weights

See what happens when you don't read it all

I'll still 'weight' :D Couldn't be bothered working it out :D

yeah i couldn't be bothered putting all of the weights up either

something like:
4yo+ males - 58kg
4yo+ females - 55.5kg
3yo males - 54.5kg
3yo fillies - 52.5kg. actually it might be 52kg. 2.5kg turnaround from the boys

i think all except 4 are 4yo+ males so yeah

what a pointless post

ill respectively disagree mate. I'll take anything over $2 for Fields to place

that's why punters get overs. everyone has a different opinion

i just don't think he's good enough to place in this race. i see california dane (if it gets a start), regal roller, vroom vroom, and a couple of others beating it home

will be interesting to see the acceptnaces today as California Dane needs 5 non-acceptors to get a guarnateed start. absolute joke!

I'll stick with Lad of the Manor I think he will be too sharp for this field and goes pretty well first up

if only vroom vroom was guaranteed a start i'd be taking the $10. but there shouldn't be 3 scratchings in a group 1 race

i'm looking towards california dane (if it gets a run) and valedictum

i just don't think that LOTM will run a strong 1400m first up. as i said earlier, there will be no-one jumping on him quicker when he gets up to 1600m+

I was on LOTM first up his last prep at 10's when he won nicely. Recall it was over 1400m...

Not to many real WFA horses in this mob...

From expertform.com -

Comment: SPEED MAP SELECTIONS: 17,5,15,9,10,2, Good speed with Regal Roller, Live In Vain, California Dane and Vroom Vroom likely to go forward, Fingers crossed that California Dane somehow gets a start, could be the best sprinter we have seen in the last decade, winner last 4 at Moonee Valley including a track record breaking performance, Lad Of The Manor resumes but has won 3 from 4 1st up, good record this track and distance, Liston Stakes winner at Gr 2 level 1st up last campaign, set for a big Autumn, Perfect Promise has her first run for the Freedmans, winner 3 from 4 1st up, distance suits, don't let her under your guard, Our Smoking Joe goes well 2nd up and is worth consideration,

Changed my mind a bit with LOTM having barrier 16....

Casual Pass could get a very cosy run from that barrier (6) and if it can sprint home like last start and is back to it's full fitness after injuries it could be right in it.

Lad of the Manor is the class horse and Perfect Promise runs tremendous fresh...I feel that if CD does not get a start these two will fight out the finish

well fields looks like being 20/1 ish which i still would contend is good value. Some real juicy odds in this race though
