That Wes Robinson guy seems to have made some decent scores for the past probably 12 months or so, anyone seen much of him?

Old-style opener, very Geoff Marsh-like. He isn't teh worst option but he is behind a few. That said he is not the worst option as you know he will make the bowlers get him out rather than giving his wicket away!

Just pick Cooper he clearly is confused and thinks India is NSW so may as well cash in and watch him score big scores.

Cooper looks reasonable good but he just hasn't stood up enough over a period in shield cricket. He could be in the running for a ODI spot this summer though.

It'll be a sad sad day if someone like Wes Robinson gets a baggy green

Wes Robinson has been in a purple patch of form all season..

He is holding together a very poor WA outfit..

I don't understand the hate..:?

Must have beat a top knock by Cooper,Baz has been on his bandwagon for ages and it looks like he is starting to repay his faith.

Robinsons not good enough I dont think. Decent shield cricketer. Hes in an ok purple match but about a month ago he couldnt buy a run for a bit. But hes not a long term answer. Hes gritty, thats it.

182 to cooper is impressive.

All the talk on here lately seems to be about picking players in form..He & Cowan couldn't be in better form..

And after getting bowled out for under 100 every third inning or so ( or maybe it just feels like that:eek:) you would think a gritty open is just what is called for..

Cooper is in really good form..He & George have been our shining lights in a disgraceful start to the Shield season..

Biiiiiiig Wes Robinson fan here. One of the few batsmen we have in this country who can build an innings and graft against a solid attack on a spicy wicket.

Maybe if NSW could recognise talent rather than pedigree they wouldn't be so f**king prone to awful cricket.

Yeah all those runs Cooper has scored against Shield teams other than NSW would have made all the difference to us...

He's in ok form but certainly not kicking the door down kind of form. His average this season in 1st class cricket is under 35 which just isn't good enough to get you into the team. Let's look at what works against him, age (he's 31), career average of 36, and only 2 centuries in 60 odd 1st class innings. He is a bandaid solution to a shotgun wound at best. I think Cowan deserves a spot but Robinson just isn't good enough

Cooper's FC runs on real FC grounds this year - 169 @ 18.8

Cooper's FC runs on local parks - 483 @ 483. (although this game isn't strictly FC)
