Caffeine as a supplement

Anyone else a fan?

I've eliminated caffeine from my diet other than a daily pre work out coffee or caffeine supplement.

It really gets you fired up and mentally prepared, from my experience I would agree with the science pointing towards increased endurance as well.

Have also cut it out of my diet, barring a cup of coke zero here and there.

Take an energy gel with caffeine in it before all of my road races and it definitely gives me a boost IMO

Well by road race I actually mean runs on the road e.g. City2Surf, 10ks, half and full marathons etc, not bike racing.

I am however looking at joining a tri club so will probably have to get my head around cycling as well soon enough
