went to the gym with a mate on the weekend and did staggered sets on a calf raise machine thingo...stretched afterwards and they were shaky but not sore....woke up monday morning and i can barely walk on my left and my right calf is killing. I cant put my left heel on the ground. i know its just lactic acid build up etc but my friend reckons i should go to a physio...but not sure if i should waste the money? what can i do to ease the pain?

There is no need to see a physio lol it'll feel ok in a few days most probably - just the shock to the muscle. It happens.

Wasting money seeing a physio IMO unless you felt it tear when you were doing th eexercises. Of course if its still sore in a week or over I'd get it checked (if it doesnt feel any better that is)

you will learn to love the pain...might look like a fool, but the results will speak for themselves
