I agree it was careless but if it was as bad as some are making out the fact is that Barba would've went down like a sack of shit. He not only didn't but they went on to score a try out of it like he didn't even feel it. Move on, enjoy the win, concentrate on the next game and with any luck both teams will meet again in the finals.

i did enjoy the win. very much. and i have moved on BUT like i said if it was steve matai or a serial offender there would be a massive uproar about it.

he does deserve a stint on the sidelines for a week even though barba wasnt hurt it was careless and he deserves to be treated like all the other nuffies in the league who gets suspended for a whole lot less than smiths swinging arm

and for the record if it was a bulldogs player who did that to billy slater i would still feel the same way (and im sure you would care a whole lot more as well)

Some tackles that get up there are just a penalty offence.. watching it at live speed might show that it wasnt as bad as that still image depeicts.. then again.. might show it as being worse.. either way.. its done and dusted really..

Looks bad in that photo, but in full speed it aint.

He went for it (probably out of frustration) but he pulled out so no harm done. Plus, players never get suspended before origin.

Also, Smith does have a grubby element to his game but who f**king cares? A lot of players do but nobody notices because they aren't in the elite group of players.
