Can the Roosters make it 3 in a row? Are they chokers?

Not so sure. My heart says yes, but my head says no. For some reason, I've been having this feeling for some time that we'll finish the regular season in 5th and crash out in the second week of the finals.

Then again, I don't profess to have any psychic abilities...my Club Keno results are testament to this.

I think calling them chokers is a bit harsh, however. If they were chokers, they would have gone down against the Dogs in the 2003 Final, and probably would have done the same against the Cows last year. In both GF's, the opposition played our weaknesses and did it well. It'd be unfair on both the Panthers and Dogs to say we choked.

Maybe it is a bit unfair to label them that. But i just dont feel that they can do it in 2005.. :?

And why can't we do it. We got more excellent players. yes freddy is going to leave a huge impact but it will only make us stronger. It might take us a while but
we will get our form but we can do it?
nothing is impossible!
in 2002 we won the first game and lost so many games during the year, but we got our form back and look we won the grandfinal.

I think they can, and if they do make the GF, I reckon they will win. As long as they are not carrying the injuries the did last year.

Look for the refs this year being a little harder on the slow-down tactics of some of the clubs, which will suit the Chooks game a bit more than some other clubs.

A major bonus for the Chooks chances this year will be Finchy playing 5/8 and Firmo carving up the opposition in the last 10mins of each half.

We are slightly weaker in 2005 then 2004 especially with Fittler gone. We have an enormous lot of youngesters off contract this year and they will be playing for there future's. This season is a year of rebuilding whilst remaining competitive. I think we can be there in a GF qualifier again but I am not so sure we will be in the GF. BUt we will put ourselves into the premiership race some time at the back end of the season.

I just dont think finch will be a revelation at 5/8....

I think he is over rated and you will miss brad fittlers long kicking game big time

If Firman can get back his kicking game of 03, you could be in with a chance... he used to get a few 40/20's. I spose ricky stuart would be the man to help him, but you will find it tough to be the team you were for the last three years..

history is against you, but that just leaves room for it to broken

fittler is the kicking coach, so I think he may be able to hand some knowledge down to the young guys.

We have so mnay players that can cover a variety of positions well that if injuries take there toll thru the year with all contenders then the roosters should stand out.
Especially with half and hooker options..

You guys will be a force again, but I look forward to bagging you week in and week out just for the sheer sport of it.

Hehe and guess what !! So will you guys too. The Panthers did more than enough last year to prove 2003 was no fluke. Kudos to the Panthers and i bet they'll still be up there, if not pressing for a GF berth. I think Saints are the worry tho ... something screams at me about them :(

not bad from a club that has the worst coach and CEO in the NRL...I hope you enjoyed your win last night - because they will be rare this year..

oh what club lost the 2001 premiership?? The one that was in the bag???

The way the Roosters were playing in 2002 it would have been a good tussle between ourselves and Canterbury - but look at the trophy - it says we were Premiers 2002. Are you still upset that we took the Club Championship off you?? Something your CEO held a great respect for and boasted about it. - doesn't leave many trophy's in your cabinet in fact none!!

Don't blame us that Canterbury rorted the system and deserved to get kicked out - facts of life - maybe you should get over it..

You best keep your old ones polished real well Sterling because as long as you hang on to the joke you call coach you havent a chance in hell of winning a meat raffle.
Infact we had a very nice trophy cabinet come early 2003, something that isnt beyond us again, and something Parra couldnt even buy the way they are playing at the moment

You should be very proud of you 4 in the last 25 years, and wish to go you had half the team now that you did then.
