Is anyone based in Norway? I found this on totalrl.com

"I am trying to push the idea of RL in Norway. But after several months I have come to what might be a dead end. I am a member and therefore in contact with the main board of representatives for the future of Rugby Union in Norway. I have already proposed an offer of training RL in Norway via Niel Wood (National Development Manager RL.UK.)
Niel has offered to come over and give a presentation aswell as set up a few practice games. The problem so far is that although some are interested, the majority have ruled that it would not work because RU holds the reigns in Norway.

The IRLF will more than likely ignore you but try to get a response at least. Perhaps try to contact organisers in nations in a similar situation such as Japan, who face an uphill battle against the corporate rugby union monopoly and face similar other challenges such as costs for domestic travel, etc. The British may be more willing to listen to your cause than the Australians.

And get the basic rules of the game translated into Norwegian and have a section of it showing the difference between union and league.

That would be good Costaki. Anyway, no need to email you, as all i know is in this thread.

While we are at it, I bought Rugby League review today. In an article about Chile taking an interest in RL, Tas Bateri also mentions that this year he has been contacted by people from Argentina (we knew that) and also India. See the article Bombay beckoning. I wont discuss it here (buy the paper).

So can we do anything to help those nations.

hopefully they can find some for chile and argentina,good to see rlr is out again dec 9th which means we should get reports from the upcoming internationals.
