Seriously though.. I cannot remember being around such hype.. I mean, even the Radio Stations are pro Eels. All week the 2day FM have been playing Go Eels promo's and I can honestly say that I can't recall this much hype for any other Sydney based team over the years who have had such a groundswell of support.
The 2009 Eels Grand Final campaign has been so much more exciting than I can recall of 2001. 2001 was a massive buzz, but this year everything seems so much more real.
I don't even remember the streets of parra being so heavily decked out in blue & gold as they are this year. Driving to the city and back home everyday, the amount of cars tooting horns and waving at me when they see the flags.. I am tingling just thinking about it.
