I was at the Sydney olympics when Steve Nash went to school on the entire Boomers.

They have beaten us before.

Actually it's a sport in which Canada and Aus match up more evenly than most. (Most other sports being ones that one country is very good at and the other not too good.)

In basketball we have 2 stronger players than any Aussies, in Nash and Jamaal Magliore (if he would suit up for Canada), but Aus has the advantage of a domestic pro league which we don't.

I just remembered, basketball has been added to the next Commonwealth games, so we'll look for a Canada-Aus final, unless the Tall Blacks pull an upset.
