bloody blinkers sometimes alternately come on like a disco. I`m driving down the road and on they come, left,,right ,left ,right. bit confusing for oncoming traffic. Any ideas?

Loose wiring dude - a mechanic should be able to fix it for a fairly decent price - you're looking at about $50.

It would be an Auto Electrician's job, not a mechanic.

While that may be true, I took it to Midas when it happened in my previous car - the mechanic fixed it. But I agree, taking it to an auto electrician would be the first move.
