sheens has been reportedly keeping some money aside for a situation like this.. bargain buy at the end of the season of a player who is no longer needed by his club..
carl webb when fit an un-injured can be a hard man to stop.. it'll give our front rowers depth and competition as well..

If the Tigers bought him it would take a lot of pressure off Skandalis and set the platform for the Halfback to get the backs going.

With Payten in doubt to even pass the fitness test to sart his contract at the tigers, Webb would be a very good addition to the ranks.

Just think if Payten does pass the fitness test and we did sign Webb then our front row could be paid for by other clubs for next season ;-)

Every time i hear Carl Webb's name, my mind just casts back to that Origin where he scored that blockbusting try in the corner! 5 players couldn't stop the big unit...Sensational stuff. He would definitely add another dimension to the forward pack, and bolster even more depth to the squad. And he is class. A dream signing if you ask me.

Some broncos fan that came onto the wests tigers official forum said that tigers are in negotiations with webb.. now no one else has heard anything.. that's why i asked had anyone heard anything on the "NRL" section of these forums but no one there has said they have heard anything either..
a fit and healthy carl webb would give us intimidation that none of our props have atm..

Mate I couldn't be happier to see him go. He hasn't been much of a player since Tallis dragged him round like a rag doll. 230k a season for him? He is more likely to spend as much time off the field as Tezza did. When he first came to the Eels he looked the goods - but now he's only after all the money he can get cos he is so busted up......

Take it from me.Webb will play out his contract at the clysdales. He will not be playing for any other club. He has a year to go on a uni degree.He'll finish that then where to...who's got the most cash??????Two more bronco's will be the next to go....I know one is Darren Mapp but don't know the other.Could be Brad Meyers. There being cut for a bad work ethic. In saying that bennett wanted nik graham but he signed with us.That there was a better buy than carl webb......ask bennett ;-)
