Sharks haven't spoken to him, but maybe they should. Hard running, aggressive back rower who would be desparate to impress QLD selectors and would make our pack more intimidating, especially with no Beattie next year!

every topic you have started has released a new signing. whether or not it was you or the tube who had the scoop is another matter.

but is this a way of saying we've got him but can't say anything yet? or a way of saying we might have him but don't want to be seen to destroy your record?

Its about time the Sharks got some agressive forwards. I can't remember having a player in the Tallis / Wiki mould. Stevo is going good this year but he's not exactley a friggin physco . Les Davo was one of the only ones that comes to mind in terms of being seriously intimidating. It just seems like other teams have these freaks in them and not us.

I agree SLE - he had a top game last week and would add some mongrel to our pack. Broncos have said they are interested in him again so his asking price may have gone up a bit.

He is a risk given his up and down form - but I reckon he is a worth a shot!!. Anyone know how old he is?

The last out-and-out nutcase we had (J. Williams aside) was Karl Lovell. He turned out to be about as useful as Jason Ryles - when he wasn't injured he was trying his best to get suspended...

We should be looking at Ruben Wiki as well. He'd really complete a Sharks premiership team, plays prop or backrow. Inspirational player.

Now this guy would be a good buy, young, already proven at SOO level, starting to hit his straps again, after a couple of seasons resting on his laurels.

You think we can match the payments offered by NZ and the British clubs how??

I always wondered if the baddies actually thought they were the goodies, and the goodies the baddies.

Now I know. :D

SIdeline, you made a point of titling a new thread to claim your scoop earlier in the week as being the first, ang rightly so.

So it's with the utmost respect that I ask you to view my post which was simple and to the point regarding Carl Webb.

You are right also that WE havent spoken to HIM, but his manager has initiated contact with us.

THe term "we havent spoken to that player" by football clubs and their reps usually means that there has been contact, but we didn't instigate it. It doesnt mean they are not interested, just protecting themselves should the deal fall through, tbut of course you know that Sideline mate.... ;-) ;-) ;-)

Well, I haven't heard anything, I do think he would be a quality addition to the side though. Shouldn't be too expensive either.
