Most would have a clause in their contract saying that it's only valid if the club stays in the top flite. But at a guess most who'd committed/planned to be in England would most likely find a place here at another club.

Wigan wont be relegated - unfortunately.

Be interesting to watch the fall out if they did though... How would that affect the Super League and league in the Wigan (and England) area as a whole? (This comes from someone who has no real idea where Wigan is)

I find it remarkable that Maurice Lindsay still has a job, he has done all the hiring and firing in recent years resulting in the worst performances in over 20 years.

If they showed a little more patience instead of wanting a quick fix, they would've perservered with guys like Luke Robinson who is maturing into a real genuine quality player. I've always been a Danny Sculthorpe fan, i realise he has had fitness and discipline problems but he has rare ability and is much better than what is there now.

Is Ian Millward (The Wigan coach?) one of the worst coaches in Rugby League or what? Wigan have a top 6 team and are in the bottom 2 after 6 matches.. That's just not good enough.

He took over a side that had quality players in key positions at Saints, eg.....

Centre - Newlove and Iro
Stand off - Martyn
Scrum Half - Long
Hooker - Cunningham
Loose - Sculthorpe
Full Back - Wellens

Not to mention a quality and rather massive pack!!

When people started to retire / leave from our club, we finished 4th and 5th in he's last two seasons - that is shocking!

Not to mention the massve ego he carries.

FFS even Ellery Hanley won us a grand Final victory with that awesome squad we had.
