Attendance: Again i can't find this anywhere, but I know it's somewhere around the 6100 mark.
Highlights
-Well Waybe Godw.... It shouldn't be like this. I should be saying 'what a fantastic win' or 'ok we lost but the effort was there.' It seems every week I'm praising the efforts of the same players e.g. Godwin, Hudson, Hepworth.
-Under 18's beat Leeds. Dean Sampson ahs got these young lads playing with passion, something sadly missing from the 1st team.
-I thought the Princess Street move went well. We weren't very loud in the second half, but for a while now the Wheldon Road end has been very quiet so it was a welcome change to have a bit of noise in the first half. It was great shouting forward as well!
Lowlights
-The last 60 minutes. In the first 20 minutes we played well but after that the effort and commitment wasn't there.
Estimated Cas fans: 4600-4800
How were the Cas fans? Like I said earlier, fairly loud in the first half but much quieter in the second half. It's a two way thing though, if the players perform we'll have somethign to shout about.
Comedy Moment: I'll leave this one to you.
In a nutshell: What has happened to our team? It wasn't that long ago that we got t the semi-finals of the Play-offs and Challenge Cup. That year we didn't have many superstars, but they all had one thing-passion. Right now we are stuck with players who don't look bothered. I'd understand if they were poor players but they aren't. Rudder has played in the NRL, Greenhill has played State Of Origin, Pryce equalled the record for try scoring sequence, Michael Smith can do much better, Gibson has shown in the past that he can play well (for example when he was Man of the Match for Wales against NZ, and when he was the only standout performer for Salford in their 74-16 defeat by Castleford).
Right now, I don't blame the fans who don't turn up. Unfortunately, it's us who will suffer.
The Salford game this Sunday is a must win game. Defeat will put us in a very dangerous position.
Please note these are my views and not those of the supporters club
