Catch the Rabbitohs Express to the Charity Shield

The Rabbitohs Express will be in action for the 26th Charity Shield between the Rabbitohs and the Dragons on Saturday 28 February at ANZ Stadium with kick off scheduled for 8pm.

The Rabbitohs Express departs Central Station at 6.29pm, stopping at Redfern at 6.32pm, Strathfield 6.43pm and arriving at Olympic Park at 6.53pm.

Customers not travelling on direct services from Central Station to Sydney Olympic Park should travel to Lidcombe Station and change for the Olympic Park Sprint, operating every 10 minutes from 6.50am until midnight.

Important trackwork information
Upgrading work takes place on CityRail lines on a regular basis and it is sometimes necessary to alter train services or replace train services with buses. Buses are replacing trains on the following line:

Western Line: Buses replace trains between Penrith and Blacktown.

Blue Mountains Line: Buses replace trains between Lithgow and Blacktown.

If you’re from interstate and you’re going to come to Sydney to watch the Charity Shield this year, book your flights through the Rabbitohs official major training partner, Virgin Blue.

Virgin Blue have many travel options for you over the weekend of the Charity Shield, so make a weekend of it in Sydney and head to ANZ Stadium to watch the big clash between the Rabbitohs and the Dragons on Saturday 28 February.

If you’re from Queensland and you can’t make it down to the Charity Shield this year, why not join the Queenslanders for South Sydney (QforSS) to watch the game.

QforSS will be at the Transcontinental Hotel (opposite Roma Street train station) on Saturday, February the 28th at 5.30 pm to watch the game between the Rabbitohs and the Dragons.

Lucky door prizes and merchandise raffles will be held, and finger food provided. All in all it will be a cracker and a game not to be missed, so make a night of it and get yourself and friends along to the Transcontinental Hotel to see the game.
