Back to the thread subject. The only way I can see Gosford having some level of consistent team is of manly part relocate. They would be the club with the most to gain given their ground status and financial challenges. It would seem the nrl don’t really care or else they would be offering some decent incentives to make it happen.
With the cost to run an nrl club these days it’s hard to see a regional club starting up unless backed by a big pokie den that’s got a few mill a year lying around.

Maybe Newcastle could claim it and play 2/3 games there.
That would make more sense geographically.
True there is something of a rivalry between Central Coast and Newcastle but I think it is overstated. Knight could represent from the Hawkesbury all the way to Tamworth.

More sense geographically but as Newcastle gets great crowds in Newcastle and has a great stadium it doesnt really offer them much other than possibly some local corporate support and a few thousand extra members maybe.
We need to move a failing club there, not one that is doing well in engaging its fanbase.

Newcastle taking over the Central Coast makes total sense. Most of the CC is within 40 minutes train or drive of the Newcastle stadium so if the Knights made a big push for fans there as they do in the upper hunter they would get a few extra thousand home fans each game.
Take 3 games to Gosford - sell CC memberships. Get the players training at Gosford and going to ERINA shopping centre once a week to sign memberships.
Central Coast isn't big enough for 12 games at CC stadium (3 would be plenty), Sydney teams need to relocate further away.
