Ch 9 4 Nations coverage deplorable

Why not just give us the BBC coverage instead of two blockhead commentators sitting in a room in Sydney who barely know what ground the game is being played at.

I'm convinced that Matt Thompson gets out of bed and 5 mins later is in the room ready to commentate. Does no research whatsoever. They flashed up English player Luke Gale on the screen and Thompson called him George Williams. Then George Williams comes on the screen and he says it's Mike Cooper ffs. Nothing beats his clanger last week when he started the NZ v Aus coverage by saying the game was being played at Elland Road, Leeds when in fact it was being played as the 2nd leg of a double header at Ricoh Stadium, Coventry.

So unprofessional, not to mention the complete lack of atmosphere when games are called in a studio on the other side of the world. The Thompson/Fittler show was downright ordinary last night. The only positive being there was no Gus "Great Britain" Gould anywhere to be seen or heard for this game.

.lol, Nine plumbing new depths with last nights efforts. Fittler, err where are they playing? Giggling at Ht like schoolkids, not knowing the players. Seriously ARLC commissioners should be made to sit through last nights coverage ten times so they can be very clear that Nine are terrible at RL!

It was disgraceful. I would have preferred the pommy commentators than two boof heads in a studio 12,000 kms away. It was terrible.

Woeful commentary, low quality vision, and the sound of the actual game and crowd was muted so we could better hear Freddy and the other nobody dribble on

Absoultely agree 100% with all. The only Aussie commentator who should be allowed to commentate on internationals are Vossy, maybe Matty Johns, hell I'd even go with Yvonne Sampson. Gould was realistic but only seems to care about club matches..

I turned the sound down and listened to the BBC call online,it meant I had to delay the TV by a minute but it was worth it.Ch9 coverage was woeful.Instead of sending Weidler over there they should have sent Thompson so we could get a better chance of the atmosphere coming thru our screens.

Ch9 haven't sent their own commentary team to the UK since the 2000 RLWC (when Andrew Voss and Phil Gould covered the finals matches involving Australia).
