Just wondering what some other opinions are. He missed most of last year with injury, but 2003 I really liked the look of him, seemed to have a good footy brain and a passing game to back that up.

He seems to be on the edge of selection now. To me, obviously Dunley has to be in the 17, he gives a lot off the bench, but Dunley is best off the bench, which means we have Williamson starting at hooker. So with only 17 spots available and a lot of players starting to queue for those spots whats the future hold for Randall? Is he our hooker of the future or is he a fringe first grader?

His form has not improved this year even after a good off season.

I think he is on the way out and given a fit 4 props it will be willo and dunley for the rest of the season.

From what ive seen of Ballin in PL he looks the goods. 2006 will see him in first grade

he need to regain his confidence and get back to 03 form, if that doesn't happen he may have to look elsewhere in 06

in 2003 he was a sound footballer. Nothing special, but young and lots of ability.

Two years later he is yet to reach the potential and quite frankly, shouldn't be picked above Dunley or even Willow.

I agree we are a different team with Dunley and/or Williamson on the field.

Chad is solid at best. Did some good things but Dunley is a better dummy half and runner. Matt Ballin will put pressure on Chad when he returns and Luke Williamson is a legend. Chad will struggle to stay in the top grade imo.

I thought he played pretty well yesterday. I would prefer him at dummy-half to Willow, but having Willow there means we can carry an extra foward on the bench.

Randall is averaging about 15m per match - he just doesnt have the go forward thats needed in the modern game. Thus we have to carry a second hooker - better to have Willo to do that.

Yeah I tend to agree, he isnt getting the job done and although he is solid we dont have room in the 17 for him when you look at the players pushing for selection.

At his best I think Chad is our best hooker, but right now he is too hot and cold. In saying that though it is either Chad or Riddell for the City Origin jersey (and Riddell isn't in red hot form at the moment)
