Challenge Cup Final "not" live in Australia

Well it looks like we have been taken on a ride by Channel Nine here in Oz, i'm certain that when the press release announcement that CH9 had secured the rights to the Cup. the final and semis were said to be LIVE.

Not only did we miss the Giants v Saints semi final, the final at Wembley is on delay, this is a disgrace.:x

I just hope we get live 4 Nations coverage, I'm not holding my breathe though. I would love to see all games live with atleast the Final replayed in a prime time spot, maybe even all Australia's games.

That's a shame. I can't imagine what other program would be thought to attract more niche viewers tuning in at that time of the night/morning.

The game is on Saturday 29th August and would be a 11:30pm kick off in Sydney. Presumably it's delay until the usual Sunday Afternoon 2:30pm slot?

Australia have two afternoon kicks off this year in the four nations with the BBC showing two games (England v Aus and France v Aus) over here this time rather than them all being on Sky. So it'll be late nights sometimes rather than early morning.

I think I'm right in saying the games will kick off in Sydney at these times.

Sat 24 Oct England v France 6:00am
Sun 25 Oct Australia v New Zealand 6:00am

Late Sat 31 Oct England v Australia 1:30am
Followed by France v New Zealand 4:00am

Late Sat 7 Nov France v Australia 1:30am
Followed by England v New Zealand 5:00am

Sun 15 Nov Four Nations Final 6:30am

a few years ago fox sports werent going to show either the challenge cup final or super league gf live, a few people on these boards bombarded fox and the nrl with phone calls and emails and they changed their mind. cant hurt if anybody is willing to give it a go!

It would makes sense for Ch 9 to show the Challenge Cup final at 2pm on Sunday arvo. I don't know if Ch 9 have shown any lead up games in the Challenge Cup as of the games I have seen, Eddie & Stevo have been commentating for Sky SPorts on Super League games. But I think Challenge Cup games are shown on BBC with different commentators. Not 100% sure though. Is it possible Ch 9 only has the rights to ESL games for Sky Sports?

that sucks its not live..the pregame stuff is great and HT reports etc were good on fox last year

they didnt even show super league today at 2pm. i havnt watched nearly as much super league this year as i did in previous years when it was on fox. they show one game on sunday when the nrl is on fox, and they show the other around midnight on tuesday or thursday. at least fox had a set night (thursday i think) where you could watch both games at a decent hour. i hate nine!

has anyone seen when they will be officially showing the challenge cup final, if at all?

Does anyone have an email address for Nein, as I want to find out if that was a once off or if they've cancelled our Sunday Arvo Super League.

The Super League games over the past two months have been just about the highlight of my Rugby League weekends. There have been some very exciting games.
