may I ask why you would name these 3 people???? are you privy to something the rest of us should and would like to know???
I am sure that all on the board at various stages over the years have contributed untold amounts, be it financial or physically getting their hands dirty, but lets face facts, we have what would possibly be the smallest supporter base associated with the premier league, that is no reason for us to sit back and watch the clubs board / management attack staff members, volunteered or supporters by disbanding what was a well run office.

I urge all who really care about the future of our club to hit back and hit back hard, vote with our feet and abandoned Henson park for the next few home games. then we will see if the club can operate without our financial support, perhaps they might not take us supporters for granted then,

I personally spend between $30 - $40 at Henson park on game days on food and grog alone, that is not alot of money but i look at it as well earned and to put it in basic terms hard to come by, then when you consider that there is always 10 - 12 of use on the hill you could say we contribute between $300 - $400 a game, multiply that by 10 - 11 home games we as a group contribute $3000 - $4000 a year, that sort of money should not be sneezed at in my books.

answers need to come from someone because this bad publicity is tearing us apart, as supporters and a club in general.

We have one of the largest as it happens - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Newtown_Jets

They are still very popular for a second division squad with the attendances at Henson Park being the highest in the NSWRL Premier League. Henson Park is widely known as offering the spectator a more traditional Rugby League experience with unique aspects such as a sausage sizzle on the ground's hill, canned beer and drive-in viewing of the game.

Difference is the clowns that swallow the NRL concept don't give a flying f**k about their Premier League sides which translates into very poor crowd turnouts at their venues preceeding the NRL matches! Anyway thats another issue entirely.

from that reply, it leads me to think that you may very well be one of the faceless board members we need to overturn, if you are so blind to facts rather than fiction i suggest its time you trade in your seeing eye dog, newtown has been on th improve in more ways than one and i am sure that the board has had a hand in that, mostly from the employment of the operations personal who has been unfairly treated in recent months, like her predecessor Doug keen.
nobody frog marches me to Henson park, then again nobody at board level is realistic enough to understand our small community of loyal supporters help keep the side on the field through our small donations.

Friday? so thats the D-Day is it? what makes Friday any different? :whistle
its the last day Newtown will have a honest, reliable operations manager employed, you can bet your bottom dollar that a stooge will be conveniently put in place, someone that will answer yes sir, no sir, three bags full sir, god forbid anybody speaking there mind in order to keep the club viable!

then again newtownbluebags, you would probably have more information than us considering you didn't call the RL office and find out yourself what is happening!

you also wouldn't know that the senior club operations manager also assisted with the junior Jets, in her own time, that alone should have meant something to the board, yet from what i am lead to believe one certain member of the board abused Junior Jets volunteers whilst watching a Jets premier league game. so much for looking to the future!

I know who you mean & if it's true I am shocked at the news.........
Look, I would never expect anybody to give up supporting the Jets, I feel the board needs to understand that the club is bigger than 3 or 4 people. look at the manner in which the club has turned a second rate organisation into a well drilled semi professional football club, as I said in a previous post the board would have played a hand in the club moving forward but the assistance given by the operations manager should not have been seen as anything but beneficial to the club.
the day to day runnings were left to one person this year, and to his credit, much to my disgust that I have to acknowledge him, Doug Keen also played a big part in the turn around, yet he was shafted after getting both JB Cup and P/L thought to the grand finals last year.
Rome wasn't built in a day but the actions shown by a select few board members almost proved it could be destroyed in a day!
