Champion Teams

I Dont know if this has been mentioned, but what i'd love to see is a champion teams feature, meaning that when u choose ur team to play as
(eg roosters, manly, whoever) u can also play as a champion side of the past
such as

1994 Raiders
1996 Manly
1998 Broncos
and the parra and manly sides from the early 80s etc etc etc
complete with the players and the playing strip

this is a feature in the NFL quarterback club game and i'd love to see it on the nrl game

*note* yes i know u can create a team, but its not as good if there not in the original jerseys and look like the actual players

I actually think there will be something like this - maybe origin greats etc. Reasoning? Easy. Firstly, it's been stated that there are features to be unlocked. Maybe by winning a state of origin series you unlock an all time SOO side etc.

It also states there are 35 teams made up in the game for you. Take out 19 (15 NRL teams, 2 for city/country, 2 for state of origin) and you're left with 16. Do you really think there'll be 16 INternational countries you can play as? Very doubtful indeed!

I like Mario's theory on where some of these remaining teams will go. There will be an English competition that may or may not coincidentally resemble the English Super League at stadiums that may or may not resemble ones they play at :D

Hopefully if these teams aren't included, they can be created, it might not be as bad as you think, on the PC version jerseys can be customised, so that is a start. I'm hoping to host heaps of classic teams on my site, anyway, if people want to make them, and eventually recreate classic competitions and things like that.

EA Cricket did something similar with All Star teams that could be unlocked the further you went in different competitions.

Speaking of cricket games, there was a game that had a section that you had a certain amount of balls left to hit X amount of runs or X amount of balls to bowl & a certain amount of runs to defend. This I think would make a nice little side challenge ie: down by 1 on your 20 with a minute left on the clock. Maybe even do as the cricket did & re-create classic games/scenarios.

That's the one on the BBC site isn't it?

The was the first warnie cricket (99 I think).

Could have like famous games like 1998 semi Dogs vs Parra, come back from 18-2 down to win the game, or the 1997 Grand Final Newastle vs Manly and try to win the game with 1 minute left on the clock, or 1995 Dogs vs Manly and hold Manly tryless for the whole game, or 2001 grand final and try and come back from 24-0 down and win the game and so on....

I had a soccer game that did this aswell. And if you won the game then you unlocked different teams and stadiums.

Could have been Warnies or Cricket 2000, it was on PS1 is all I can be sure of without sifting through my PS games. Definitly not BBC though.

What D.O.W said is exactly what I was thinking... just I'm to lazy to type it all out

Well HES actually had a big part in Shane Wane 99 so if it is that game then there's a good chance.
